@magog77 Ditto with the history. New wave/punk was the most fun ever! My son turned me on to some newer music that he thought I'd like. Check out HOT CHIPs song THE WARNING and THE GORILLAZ video STYLO. Also David Byrne collaborated with Eno and did STRANGE OVERTONES. These are all new songs but have become favorites of mine.

@magog77 -- Similar background here, I'm 54. Sad? Yes. Hopeless? Maybe not. I notice far too many young ones comment about this very issue --comments on most of the 80's music sites. They are aware, they say so. Their future is in their own hands. The way I fugire it--there are soo many good songs from better eras to keep them happy to ignore the new "stuff" that maybe the industry may pay attention.

No one knew when ships sank at sea. Horse drawn carriages. Outhouses. No electricity. Washing clothes at the river. Drinking and bathing from the same river. Life was slow. Life was simple. No tv, Atari, or crappy 80s music to rot your brain. There were no complications.
